I also tutor/teacher for VIPKID! I’ve been doing this since June & it’s awesome! Its an English immersion program, so you don't need to know another language. It's so much fun, the kids are adorable, the prep is pretty easy (they give you the curriculum)! I just use lots of props to compliment my teaching.
Basically you set your own schedule and parents book with you. Because of the time difference the most popular times to be booked to teach, and where you are most likely to get $, is from 4-8am CST, M-F and Fri 4am all the way to 9am Sun. However, you can open up slots anytime from 12am-9am & 8pm-12am. It's early but it works for me because my kids are still asleep and then I just nap during their first nap.
I do 4:30-7am M-F and 6-8:30am Sat, and started being fully booked at just under two months in. Pay ranges from $7-9 per 25 min class + incentives, such as, $1 extra per class for being on time, $1 extra per class if you teach more than 45 in a month, $5 for getting a trial student to sign up, $50 for recruiting another teacher (paid AFTER they teach their first class), and so on! Additionally, recruitment is not necessary but is a great way to make extra money.
It took me about 2 months to get booked solid (fill all the slots I'd opened)! The interview process takes about 10 days, so it's a little long, but totally worth it! I have a document I made & can share that layouts the process. I think the length weeds out the people who aren't fully interested. If you want to do it, here is my referral link...I'll make a little extra $ and I'll support you through the process! I have just made a YouTube video for walking you through the demo lesson & giving tips! I also have a Facebook support group. It's private to my referrals. :)
