PRIVACY POLICY
BeatMaker: Music & Drum Pads
Last updated: October 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how the BeatMaker: Music & Drum Pads mobile application (“BeatMaker,” “the App,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the App on Apple devices. By downloading, accessing, or using BeatMaker: Music & Drum Pads, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
This document is intended for App Store distribution and general compliance with applicable privacy expectations (including Apple’s App Privacy requirements and common GDPR/CCPA-style transparency practices). It is not personalized legal advice.
1. WHO WE ARE
BeatMaker: Music & Drum Pads is a music-creation application that lets you play soundpacks on pads, follow guided songs and lessons, build beats in Studio, apply effects, and record performances. The publisher of BeatMaker: Music & Drum Pads is the developer account that distributes the App on the Apple App Store (the “Publisher”).
We do not require you to create an account, and we do not ask you to provide a name, email address, phone number, or similar contact details to use the App.
2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
BeatMaker is designed to collect as little personal data as reasonably possible. Depending on how you use the App and your device settings, we may process the categories below.
2.1 Information stored only on your device
• App preferences and settings (for example, quantize, metronome, count-in, and similar options)
• Recent packs and local progress related to songs, lessons, or games
• Studio projects and audio recordings (“takes”) that you create
• Other local state needed for the App to function
This information typically remains on your device unless you choose to share a recording through the system share sheet or another feature you initiate.
2.2 Purchase and subscription information
If you buy or restore a subscription or other in-app purchase:
• Apple processes the payment through your Apple ID
• We (and our subscription infrastructure) receive entitlement and transaction status needed to unlock Premium features (for example, whether a subscription is active, product identifiers, and renewal/expiration status)
We do not receive your full payment card number, Apple ID password, or Apple billing address through BeatMaker.
2.3 Analytics and diagnostics
To understand product usage, improve stability, and fix crashes, the App may use third-party services that collect device and usage data, such as:
• Firebase Analytics (Google) — app events, screens, feature usage, and similar aggregated analytics
• Firebase Crashlytics (Google) — crash logs, stack traces, and diagnostic data
These services may collect identifiers and technical data such as:
• Device type, OS version, app version, language/region settings
• Anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers (for example, app-instance or analytics identifiers)
• Event data (for example, onboarding steps, pack opens, paywall views, game mode starts)
• Crash and performance diagnostics
We may also set limited analytics user properties (for example, whether Premium is active, whether onboarding is complete, or a selected genre preference). These are used for product analytics, not for advertising profiles that we sell.
2.4 Information we do not intentionally collect
We do not intentionally collect:
• Your name, email address, postal address, or phone number
• Precise location
• Contacts, photos, or microphone audio for cloud upload (microphone use, if any in a future update, would be disclosed and limited to features you enable)
• Sensitive categories of personal data for sale or advertising
If you contact the Publisher through the App Store or another channel you choose, you may voluntarily provide information in that message. That communication is processed only to respond to your request.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We use the information described above to:
• Provide, operate, and improve BeatMaker
• Unlock and restore Premium subscriptions and entitlements
• Remember your settings and local creative work
• Measure feature usage and onboarding funnels
• Diagnose crashes and prevent abuse or technical issues
• Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect the App and users
We do not sell your personal information.
4. LEGAL BASES (WHERE APPLICABLE)
If you are in a region that requires a legal basis for processing (for example, the EEA/UK), we rely on one or more of the following, as appropriate:
• Performance of a contract — providing the App and purchased features
• Legitimate interests — analytics, security, fraud prevention, and product improvement in ways that do not override your rights
• Consent — where required by law or platform rules (for example, certain tracking permissions on iOS)
• Legal obligation — when we must retain or disclose information to comply with law
5. SHARING OF INFORMATION
We share information only as needed to run BeatMaker:
5.1 Service providers / processors
• Apple Inc. — App Store distribution, payments, and related platform services
• RevenueCat (or similar subscription infrastructure) — subscription status and purchase validation
• Google Firebase (Analytics and Crashlytics) — analytics and crash reporting
These providers process data on our behalf or as independent controllers under their own terms and privacy policies, depending on the service.
5.2 Legal and safety
We may disclose information if required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the App.
5.3 Business transfers
If the App or Publisher is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information related to the App may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and this Policy’s principles.
We do not share your information with third parties for their own independent marketing.
6. RETENTION
• Local settings, progress, Studio projects, and recordings remain on your device until you delete them or delete the App
• Analytics and crash data are retained according to the retention settings of the relevant providers and our need to improve the App
• Subscription/entitlement records are retained as needed to provide Premium access, prevent fraud, and meet accounting or legal requirements
When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
7. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, and to data portability.
You can typically:
• Delete local recordings and projects inside the App (where available)
• Reset or clear app data by deleting the App from your device
• Manage Apple subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
• Limit analytics/tracking through iOS system settings (for example, App Tracking Transparency prompts if shown, and Analytics & Improvements settings)
• Opt out of sale/share of personal information where those concepts apply — we do not sell personal information
Because BeatMaker does not require an account, identifying a specific user’s analytics record may not always be possible. To exercise a privacy request, contact the Publisher through the App Store product page support channel associated with BeatMaker: Music & Drum Pads. We will respond within a reasonable period and as required by applicable law.
If you are in the EEA/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
BeatMaker is a general-audience music app and is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact the Publisher through the App Store product page and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
9. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Our service providers may process information in the United States or other countries. Where required, appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses or provider certifications) may apply to those transfers.
10. SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of a consumer mobile app. No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for maintaining physical control of your device and your Apple ID security.
11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES
The App may link to third-party websites or open system share destinations. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for third-party services you choose to use.
12. APPLE APP PRIVACY LABELS
Apple requires privacy “nutrition labels” on the App Store. The labels in App Store Connect should reflect the data types collected by BeatMaker and its SDKs (for example, usage data, diagnostics, and purchases). If there is any conflict between those labels and this Policy, this Policy and the actual SDK behavior should be kept aligned; update App Store Connect labels whenever collection practices change.
13. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Policy, except where applicable law requires additional notice or consent.
14. CONTACT
For privacy questions or requests, contact the Publisher through the support options listed on the BeatMaker: Music & Drum Pads Apple App Store product page. We intentionally do not publish a personal email address in this document.
15. SUMMARY (PLAIN LANGUAGE)
• No account required
• Your beats and settings stay on your device unless you share them
