The Busy Life of Bees
Bees fly beneath the sky so blue,
Dancing through the morning dew.
They buzz and hum, a golden stream,
Gliding softly in the sun’s bright gleam.
They drink sweet nectar, rich and light,
And eat the pollen, gold and white.
With tiny feet, they land with grace,
Gathering gifts from place to place.
They waggle wildly, left and right,
Sharing maps in the hive’s dim light.
A secret dance, a whispered way,
To tell their kin where flowers stay.
They build their home, a waxy dome,
A honeycomb where workers roam.
With careful touch, they shape and weave,
A place to rest before they leave.
They care for young with love so deep,
Then close their eyes and softly sleep.
Yet when the sun begins to rise,
They wake again and kiss the skies.
