Be Kind to Bees!
Buzz, buzz, busy bee,
Flying fast from tree to tree.
Spreading pollen, making honey,
Helping flowers bloom so sunny!
But oh no! Bees need our care,
Their homes are shrinking everywhere.
Pesticides and smoky air,
Make it hard for bees out there.
Let’s plant flowers, big and bright,
Purple, yellow, red, and white!
Give them water, clean and cool,
A tiny dish—a buzzing pool!
Never spray them—let them be,
They work so hard for you and me.
Protect their homes, don’t knock them down,
Let’s keep bees safe all around!
So if you see a bee today,
Don’t be scared—it’s on its way!
Just say "thank you" with a smile,
And help the bees—they’re worth our while!
Our Year 4 students united to distribute banners around our school grounds to promote the importance of protecting our bees. They chose locations where they thought bees would be safe.
The banners shared messages about the importance of trees and flowers in supporting bees. Some highlighted how trees provide shade and resting spots, creating a safe environment for them. Others focused on flowers as a vital food source, encouraging the planting of more blooms to keep bees happy and well-fed. The banners also emphasized the role of bees in helping flowers grow and keeping gardens vibrant. Each message aimed to inspire appreciation for bees and encourage efforts to protect their habitats.
Bees love resting under treeslike this. Let’s protect their little homes and help them feel safe.
Bees visit flowers to eat sweet nectar. The more flowers we plant, the happier they’ll be!
Every flower is a gift to the bees. Planting flowers is like giving a beea yummy treat. They’ll buzz back to say thank you!
Bees make our garden smile! Without bees, flowers wouldn’t grow as beautifully. Let’s care for them so they keep our garden happy!
Bees love flowers as much as we do! When flowers bloom, bees come to visit. They love bright colours—just like us!
Let’s help bees buzz happily around! Bees need safe spaces to fly and eat. Let’s make sure they always have placesto go.
Through this activity, our Year 4 students not only helped raise awareness about protecting bees but also took meaningful action to support them. By placing banners in thoughtful locations, they encouraged others to appreciate the vital role bees play in our environment. Their efforts highlight the importance of creating safe spaces for bees and inspire our school community to contribute to their protection.
