Lance Castonguay M.A.ED - Director, Lead Instructor and Guide
An avid paddler, mountain biker, skier, and outdoor enthusiast, Lance is very passionate about introducing students to the outdoors and giving teachers the skills and knowledge to safely take their kids outside. Lance has been teaching in SD43 since 1996 and has been an Instructor in the Faculty of Education at Simon Fraser University since 2011. Lance has created Outdoor Education programs and courses at the high school and university levels. Lance was a member of the new BC Physical and Health Education curriculum writing team and one of the writers for the new Outdoor Education 11 and 12 curriculum. A Master Instructor with RCABC and Paddle Canada Lance has over 30 years of experience teaching Outdoor Education. Lance was the President of the Outdoor Educators of BC PSA for 5 years, President of the Coquitlam Outdoor Educators LSA for 15 years, served on the executive and a number of Recreational Canoeing Association of BC committees, and is currently on the Paddle Canada Youth Committee.
