Get Involved

Volunteers are needed!

There are lots of ways you can get involved and help us put on a fantastic canoe festival.

Let us know via the registration form by March 20th (Early Bird Deadline), so we can plan our schedule. A travel subsidy of $50 is offered for volunteers who lead or assist in at least two sessions.

Run a Workshop

We have had workshops on all sorts of paddling related topics! So come tell us what you are passionate about: Canoe rescues, food prep and packing, SUP yoga, a slide show of an epic adventure, canoe construction, outfitting and maintenance, a guided nature paddle, canoe games for kids - whatever floats your boat!

SWAG and Donations

We love to get away free stuff as much as you like to get it! But finding donations and working with sponsors is a big job. If you work for a company or know one who might like to sponsor us, please contact us so we can get out the SWAG bag and we'll add your company to our sponsors page and be sure thank you and mention your generosity at the Canoe Festival.

Other Important Duties

There are always lots of important jobs to do. Let us know if you are interested in any of these positions.

  • Greeters

  • Registration

  • Beachfront organizers

  • Many other miscellaneous tasks (prior, during, and post festival)

Help Promote and Organize the Canoe Festival

If you have experience organizing events and want to help plan the festival we would love your help. And if you are a member of an organization such as an outdoor tourism department and are willing to send out an e-poster to your colleagues and students, we'd appreciate the help in getting out the word. Or maybe you just know a good place to put up a few posters - let us know that you're willing to help promote the festival.
