Between the NEW Police Station and City Hall on Division St N
[ MAP ]
Lord God, we pray for the men and women who put their lives on the line to enforce our laws and keep us safe. We ask you to station your angels around the entire properties of the Battle Creek Police force to guard and protect those who guard and protect us. Grant them your wisdom and clear, calm thinking in volatile situations where instant decisions have to be made. Give our officers a gentle, quiet spirit and words of wisdom and peace to defuse emotionally charged situations. Bring them intel of drug and human trafficking in and around our city and tactical strategies to take these trades down in order to rid our city of these evils. Help them to find all evidence to arrest and prosecute traffickers, thieves, and those who abuse or intend to harm any person in our city, especially our children. Bless our law enforcement officers and their families, Lord, we pray.
Psalm 91:11 For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.
Titus 3:1 Remind the believers to submit to the government and its officers. They should be obedient, always ready to do what is good.
Romans 13:12 Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which is from God. The authorities that exist have been appointed by God.
God Almighty, the Creator of government to bring peace and order to our community, bless each of our civic employees. We pray especially that you give wisdom and creativity to our commissioners and mayor as they make decisions about how our city will go forward and how the people’s money will be spent. May they handle their responsibilities wisely and with integrity for the greatest benefit of the people they serve. Raise up Your people to run for office and take these seats of honor and trust. Be with the city manager, Rebecca Fleury and grant her creativity to think outside the box in making our city run more efficiently and safely. Position Your angels around this property to protect all who work here, and all who walk this property, from anyone who would try to bring harm. Fill this building with Your Peace to calm those who enter with hurting hearts or angry attitudes. Bless all who give of their time and energy for the good of the people they serve. Protect our city from, and close any openings given to, the Enemy to entrench himself in our city through connection to Battle Creek's Sister City, Takasaki, Japan. We pray that we will influence Takasaki for Christ.
Isaiah 54:14 You will be secure under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away. You will live in peace, and terror will not come near.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.…
1 Peter 2:13 For the Lord's sake, respect all human authority…
Prov. 11:10-11 When the righteous thrive, the city rejoices, and when the wicked perish, there are shouts of joy. By the blessing of the upright a city is built up, but by the mouth of the wicked it is torn down.
We ask You, Lord, for Your security system to be in place around this property and in this building so that no one intending violence or harm may find entrance. Justice and righteousness are the foundation of your throne (Ps. 89:14). We ask that you rule over this building so that whatever is done here would be just and right. Give our judges the wisdom of Solomon in settling disputes, grant them wisdom to rule; rightly applying judgment or mercy as each case warrants. We pray for your people to be raised up to become judges and magistrates, prosecutors and defenders. Protect our jailers. Give them calm demeanors, yet firmness as it is needed. For the inmates who reside here we ask that they feel your peace and presence and that they turn to you in repentance for salvation. We also ask that they would serve out their time peacefully. Speak wisdom to them whether through dreams and visions, through your people working in the justice system, or through pastors, chaplains, or visitors. When they are released, may they seek and receive employment to become productive citizens of our community. Bless CityLinc and its programs to help newly released convicts in this endeavor.
Psa. 55:9-11, 22-23b Lord, confuse the wicked, confound their words, for I see violence and strife in the city. Day and night they prowl about on its walls; malice and abuse are within it. Destructive forces are at work in the city; threats and lies never leave its streets. Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. But you, God, will bring down the wicked.
Amos 5:24 Let justice roll on like a river and righteousness like a never failing stream.
Even as this building stands on the site of Battle Creek’s first dwelling, this society has put down its roots and has entrenched itself to “dwell” in the middle of our city’s governing triangle. You, Lord, know all and see all. You know what goes on in this building, and in Your Name, we bind anything going on here that is not in accordance with your will. We pray wisdom and discernment for our citizens to prevent any increase in the Freemason’s membership. Reveal the hidden practices of this body of people. Let nothing be hidden; let all be exposed in your light. May its members see your light and find Your freedom. In the Name of Jesus we uproot this society and its influence over our city, and we remove it from our midst. May this building be used for your purposes, and the furtherance of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, or be destroyed.
Heb. 4:13 Nothing in all creation is hidden from God's sight. Everything is uncovered and laid bare before the eyes of him to whom we must give account.
Ephesians 5:14 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light.
Jer. 1:10 See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”
