POLICE YOUTH AMBASSADOR (PYA)
You are required to collaborate with NPCs to complete their PYA project.
They can do this in a number of ways:
- Submit a proposal to the NPC and request their support
- Work with NPC on their existing project
- Collaborate with NPC to develop a project that serves both unit and NPC (most desired)
All the sec 3 cadets will then work on the same project, although they should be split into groups no bigger than 8 cadets to do so. Each group can take on a different area of the project (eg. logistics, group leaders etc)
Only the sec 3 cadets will plan and carry out the project. They may involve other cadets in the implementation of the project.
NOTE : The project must bring about student interaction with the public. Patrols or even posting videos online alone is not acceptable! Cadets must interact with the public to share the message.

Completeness of PYA project
Check the following to ensure that your project is complete
1. PYA projects need to showcase product by students - eg. pledge cards/designed brochure (excluding those provided by NPC)
2. Photos (min 8) of cadet action / interaction with beneficiaries
3. ONE interviews/reflections by the beneficiaries on the impact of your PYA activities. (audio/video/written)
3. Beneficiary Reflection is obtained
4. PYA document is complete and nominal roll endorsed by NPC
5. ONLY ONE Best PYA form with photo evidence to be submitted

Once the PYA project is completed, teacher officer will submit the endorsed nominal roll at the Submission Portal.

If cadets wish to complete their project on their own, they may embark on their project with the online step by step guidance provided through MyVIAPortal. At the end of the project, a online website will be created and be made available to the public. No submission of documents to HQ is needed. Teachers officers will only submit for badge request online at the Submission Portal.
Overview of the New CSSP/PYA

2019 PYA PROJECT
This year, the Sec 3 cadets collaborated with the Bukit Batok Neighbourhood Police and conducted a joint crime prevention roadshow at Bukit Batok Bus Interchange and Bukit Batok MRT. The Sec 3 cadets shared more about recent scam trends such as impersonation scams and measures to safeguard ourselves from such scams. Members of public were also educated on the dangers of borrowing from unlicensed moneylenders.
