“Thank you, Ten!” Workshop (Ten Things to Know about Ten-Minute Plays)
Who: Boston Playwrights’ Theatre
What: This workshop will explore all the various aspects of crafting a ten-minute play, from structure to author’s intent and audience appeal. You’ll read, do some writing, and analyze the form to discover how to make it work for writers as artists and theatres as producers. This workshop is designed for writers of any age who are less experienced in the ten-minute form and who live in New England.

Who: The Huntington Academy
What: Through improvisations, explorations of status, games of one-upmanship, dress ups, song and dance, the class will take a journey into the fragile and madcap world of clown. In this course, the goal is for each student to encounter, share, and develop their unique voice in clown. Designed and facilitated by Lecoq-trained teacher, director, and theatre artist Susan Thompson, this course invites students to discover their clown identity, culminating in a final sharing of their collaborative work.

What: A harvest evening of nature-based magic and mystery, creating an embodied performance piece centering Shakespeare's classic "Macbeth"! We begin by conjuring up a witchy charm. After that, we will create a performance piece for ourselves using devised methods of theatre. No experience required, just openness to an evening of play! We encourage you to come in your best witch or warlock attire (also not required). Refreshments will be provided. By the pricking of my thumbs, something wicked this way comes!
