Welcome to PDF to Excel Converter ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring the security of your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application (the "Service").
By using PDF to Excel Converter, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with our policies and practices, please do not use our Service.
Account Information: When you sign in with Google, we receive your Google profile information (name, email address, and profile photo) to create and manage your account.
Uploaded Files: PDF documents, camera photos, or image files you upload for conversion. These may contain tabular data, personal information, or other content depending on what you choose to upload.
Subscription Information: If you subscribe or purchase credits, your purchase and entitlement status is managed on our behalf by RevenueCat (see Third-Party Services below).
Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, and timezone.
Usage Data: How you interact with the app, features used, number of conversions, and time spent.
Crash and Performance Data: Diagnostic information collected via Firebase Crashlytics to help us identify and fix bugs.
We use the information we collect to:
Provide the Service: Process your uploaded PDFs and images and convert them into Excel files.
Convert Files: Your uploaded file is sent to a third-party AI model provider (such as Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, or OpenAI ChatGPT) via our backend (Firebase Cloud Functions) to extract tabular data and generate the Excel output.
Manage Your Account: Authenticate you via Google Sign-In and maintain your subscription/credit status via RevenueCat.
Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns and crash reports to enhance features, performance, and reliability.
Communicate: Send service-related announcements when necessary.
When you upload a PDF or image, it is stored temporarily in Firebase Storage so it can be processed.
Your file is sent to our AI processing provider to generate the converted Excel output.
Once a file is successfully converted, the original uploaded file is deleted from our storage.
If a conversion fails, the file is retained temporarily so the conversion can be retried, and is deleted once a conversion succeeds or you delete it manually.
We do not use your uploaded files to train any AI models.
We use the following third-party services to operate PDF to Excel Converter:
Firebase (Google)
Used for cloud functions (processing your conversion requests), file storage, authentication, analytics, and crash reporting (Crashlytics).
Google Sign-In
Our authentication method. We receive your email and profile name from Google.
AI Model Providers (Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT)
Powers the extraction of tabular data from your uploaded PDFs and images. Your file content is sent to these providers solely to generate your converted Excel file and is not used by them to train their models.

RevenueCat
Manages in-app purchases and subscriptions. Receives purchase and subscription status information along with an app user identifier so we can unlock premium features on your account.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or uploaded files to third parties.
Where: Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Firebase (Google Cloud).
Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.
Access: Only you can access your account and conversion history through your authenticated account.
Retention: Uploaded files are deleted upon successful conversion, or upon your account deletion. Account data is retained as long as your account is active.
You have the following rights regarding your data:
Access: View your conversion history within the app.
Delete: Delete your account and associated data from Settings.
Export: Request a copy of your data by contacting us.
Opt-out: Stop using the service and request account deletion.
For EU/EEA users (GDPR), you also have the right to:

Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
PDF to Excel Converter is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Your information, including uploaded files, may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence, including by our AI processing providers. These countries may have different data protection laws. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable laws.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy in the app or sending you a notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
