Chenge Tsapayi, originally from Zimbabwe, embarked on her journey to the United States in 2008 at the age of 17, securing a tennis scholarship for her college education. A pivotal summer job coaching tennis in Westchester, NY, led to a connection with a tax partner from KPMG who was also a consultant at Weiser Mazars. After two years in tax, visa/immigration complexities prompted a transition to internal accounting roles within the same firm, where she gained experience across various positions from 2013 to 2020 while awaiting her green card. She received it in February 2020, and the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic followed. Chenge decided to pursue graduate studies in business at Baruch College in 2022, secured an audit position at Forvis Mazars in 2023, and she completed her graduate degree from Baruch in May 2024, where she was a founding member of the Zicklin Black Graduate Student Society.
