Link to Videos ===> Barry's Jugular Vein Decompression
Jugular Vein Compression can cause a whole lot of symptoms including (but not limited to): Brain Fog, Dizziness, Confusion, Unsteadiness, Disassociation, Tiredness. Problems with Vision, Hearing, Memory. Anxiety, Stress, Depression, Crankiness, Nausea, Nerve Related problems, and more.
What can cause this to happen:
Compression can be caused by many things including inadequate space due to: elongated Styloids, C1 Transverse Process, Digastric Muscle, Arteries, Nerves, or other things crossing into the Jugular Vein space and causing compression. Often there are multiple contributors to the issue.
Caution: I've heard from many people stating they required second surgery because the initial surgeon "only removed the styloid"
My Image (below):
You can not see the digastric muscle in this image, but you can see the styloid and TP causing compression, and that piece of an artery squeezing the IJV too. My Surgeon also performed a fasciotomy (removal of connective tissue) to ensure there was plenty of room.
Which type of specialist should I consult for this particular condition?
From my personal experience, I've discovered that this condition is relatively new and acknowledged by only a few in the medical community. As a result, the experts who can provide assistance are considered highly specialized in their field. These specialists are hard to come by, and there are a variety of approaches they might take, ranging from medication to extensive surgical procedures. Personally, I've sought help from a multitude of professionals, including primary care physicians, neurologists, otolaryngologists, chiropractors, acupuncturists, cranial sacral therapists, naturopaths, and others. Ultimately, I found relief under the care of a surgeon renowned internationally for their expertise in craniofacial and cranial base surgery. With countless surgeries under his belt, this specialist possesses an unparalleled understanding of the intricate anatomy involved, and was able to decompress my vein completely. Note: I am sharing my outcome for my specific scenario. I am one of the lucky ones.
This is a new field and is not well understood by many. Outcomes have been mixed.
