Bardic Skirmishes II

January 27th-29th 2023

The Entire Event was hosted on Zoom.

Thank you, Teachers, Hosts, Coordinators, and Audience, for the gift of your company this year.
See you in 2024!

What is Bardic Skirmishes? A three-day virtual performing arts event filled with:

  • challenges to hone your abilities!

  • classes, roundtables, and workshops to learn and expand your knowledge!

  • fun activities to practice your skills and shenanigans!

  • bardic circles!

  • chances to hang out with your friends and chosen family from all over the world!

There is no pre-reg or sign-up in advance to attend, just hop on the Zoom! If you wish to offer a scheduled activity, please submit your awesome thing via the Activity Sign-up Form in the top right corner of your screen (found in the sidebar for mobile devices)!

Though this is a bardic event hosted in the Midrealm, all are welcome, no matter the kingdom or experience level, whether bard or not. We would love for you to join us!

Themes for 2023

We look forward to a wide variety of topics and activities throughout the event, but will lean into, and build upon, a certain theme each day.

Rallying Cries

Kingdom Anthems! Regional Anthems! Marching Songs, War Stories, and No $h!t, There I Was stories! Let us celebrate what makes us cheer, for we were Born On The List Field!

Common Folk

The Stories We Tell Children, the Work Songs, the Love Ballads, the Drinking Games... and the raucous bawdy yarns that make up the soundtrack of everyday life.

Mystic Traditions

Myth and legend, songs of Life and Death, Spells and Incantations, tales of the Origin of the World and the Cycles of the Ages. The poet must hear the whispers on the wind, on behalf of those who cannot.

(Last year's themes were Improv, Poetry, and Storytelling)
