The counselor is dedicated to supporting the diverse needs of all students in their academic, emotional, and social development. This support is delivered through a variety of approaches, including classroom guidance lessons that equip students with essential skills, small group sessions that foster relationships and collaboration, check-ins to monitor student well-being, and individual sessions tailored to address concerns and challenges faced by the student.  By collaborating with the administrative team, the counselor aims to assist students with the support of stakeholders, including parents, while working to create positive connections and build strong relationships. 

The school counselor advocates for all students, families, staff, and the counseling program to ensure success and a positive learning environment. Through constant collaboration with administration, the school counselor sees each class for guidance lessons once a month, conducts small group counseling and individual sessions, and provides the staff with trauma-informed training.  The school counselor promotes and conducts attendance workshops for parents and promotes district-led parent workshops. The school counselor gives every student the most effective educational opportunity while promoting positive self-esteem, and organizes and hosts events throughout the year, such as Start with Hello Week, Unity Day, Good Choice Week, Food Drive, Veteran's Day Breakfast, Cub of the Month, Career Fair, Career on Wheels, Career Parade, Pet Food Drive, Staff Wellness Day, De-Stress fest, and Mental Health Week.
