I'm a doodler. I play with colored pencil, sharpie, gel pen, paint pen, dual tip marker and any other kind of pen that feels good moving across mixed media paper. Not fine art, but very satisfying!
I decorate real chicken eggs in a wax resist technique practiced in Ukraine and other eastern European regions. Traditional Ukrainian eggs are called “pysanky,” from the Ukrainian verb “to write.” The design is not painted on; it is written with beeswax after the egg is dipped in different colors of dye.
