An Angel
In her chair she fell asleep. Exhausted from the day.
Her little form slumped over, no shirt, only blue jeans.
Bare feet covered with red ink, from coloring.
When I moved her she fluttered her eyes, so blue.
She looked at me and smiled.
An Angel

Beauty Sleep
Floors creaking footsteps
on the stairs approaching.
Door rattles, pictures fall off the walls
Bed starts quivering.
Beauty sleep.

Bird of Paradise
Green, yellow, blue even a orange beauty
A bird torn between love and hate.
Claws that could kill
A beak strong enough to break a broomstick.
Not knowing he was sick.
Jumped from his perch racing across the wood floor
Wings spread blood gushing from his side.
Not showing any weakness, died that night
Buried the next day.
Green, yellow blue, orange and a touch of red.

Creation
Silence, Darkness, Stars begin twinkling
Earth emerges Cold
Warmth and light from the sun
Sound, Movement
Grass, trees, flowers sprout
All giving thanks to God
Water, Air, Life, A man, a woman-love
A tree, The tree of God, Forbidden fruit-sin
Six days of labor, Seventh day rest
