I am a PhD student in the Chemical Engineering department at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Prof. Farimani. I am interested in the application of a machine learning to computational catalysis/chemistry. I aim to develop rigorous ML models which can capture the underlying physics of the molecular/atomistic simulations. Prior to joining CMU, I worked as a researcher at SK Innovation for three and a half years. While working in the petrochemical and EV battery industry, I developed plant-wide process simulation models of polymer plants and computational fluid dynamics models of the anode/cathode coating process. I completed my bachelor’s and master’s in Chemical Engineering at Seoul National University. Apart from research, I enjoy running, weight-lifting, and traveling.
