Welcome back P1-P3!
You're a star!!
Please remember what we are trying to do right now is really, really hard and something that happens once every 100 years!
Please do what you can and forgive yourself for what you can't get to.
Please remember that the Parent Council are here to represent you and to bring your views and issues to the school.
If you have anything that you need help with then you can contact us at bankheadparentcouncilgcc@gmail.com.
Parents please remember ...
Over the Christmas period the Parent Council were able to give to the school enough books to ensure every child in P1-P3 were given a book from Santa in December 2020.
We purchased about half these books, alongside free books from The Scottish Book Trust and from a Scottish publisher (Birlinn) which we donated to the school for Christmas presents from Santa.
Birlinn provided us with 50 books for pre-school children which we were able to donate to Pikeman Nursery School!
Farmfoods vouchers
Using money from the Parent Council account we provided Mrs McKinlay with £350 worth of Farmfoods cards to support our families.
Christmas Fair
We made £188 from our online Christmas Fair.
As part of this we received £55 in donations from our families.
We would like to say a MASSIVE thanks to all families and staff who bought something at our fair.
Our next meetings are:
Monday 01 March 2021 at 7pm
Monday 29 March 2021 at 7pm
During the present situation, the Parent Council (PC) have agreed to take our meetings online.
All Parents are very welcome to attend
We are now setting up our meetings using Zoom and we have been advised that for safety you must email us at bankheadparentcouncilgcc@gmail.com to get the link for each meeting.

Supporting our children’s learning at home is a struggle for many families.
It’s important that we don’t put ourselves, or our children, under too much pressure and no one expects parents and carers to replace the role of a classroom teacher.
This Nutshell below helps with resources for learning at home.
