Woke up to a beautiful day with picture perfect weather in this beautiful country ! The morning started with an amazing breakfast, picture perfect weather and statements of representatives of US and Morocco's department of State including security briefing from RSO ! Yes, I saw a real special agent (😁)
It was a very busy day seamlessly managed by super efficient Meryem. We had lectures at the hotel, visited a teaching college ENS in Rabat and had the most amazing dinner at the coolest restaurant.
But let's first start with all the cool merch that we got !!!
We attended two lectures on the "Linguistic landscape in Morocco", and "Post-colonial Morocco" by Fulbright alumni Dr. Karim Bensoukas and Dr. Najib Bounahai, respectively.
We went to ENS (the Teacher School) for a program. There were short presentations by the students on the following topics: CLE Education (the three year program to go into teaching) Program from a Trainee's Perspective; AI in Education; Integrating Climate Change in Education, Reaching All Learners, Universal Design for Learning, Project-Based Learning and the UN Sustainable Development Goals. We had a discussion and then a small reception with desserts and tea. The conversations with the students were so inspiring and thoughtful! There are no IEPs (or anything similar) in Morocco.

There was a short rest time before leaving for dinner, but a few of us went on a walk to the park down the road from the hotel. There are cats lounging in many places enjoying the beautiful day.
We went to dinner at Dar Rbatia which is in an old Riad. It was breathtakingly beautiful, and the food was so yummy!
I feel so lucky to have had this opportunity! Check out some of my pictures from the day!
