Bandelier PTA Music Program
*DUE TO COVID-19, THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN MODIFIED TO BE OFFERED ONLINE THROUGH THE STUDENTS' CLASSROOMS, FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2020-2021.
The Bandelier PTA Music Program is a general music education program for all students. Music classes are provided to EACH Bandelier student EVERY week. This excellent music program is funded solely by parents and community members.

Comprehension: A quality music education expands our knowledge and helps us to understand complex ideas. It helps us to think critically, solve problems, analyze and synthesize information, and make strong decisions. And that’s what we want every Banda Bear to do!
Culture: A quality music education expands our cultural horizons. It helps our children to understand others, their traditions and their ideals. Music speaks one language, yet all languages, and helps our children to build bridges in our diverse and complicated world.
Communication: Music uses sounds, sight, and movement to convey meaning beyond the power of words. Through music education our Banda Bears perfect this skill and learn to communicate better with others.
Creativity: Music inspires creativity. It resonates within us, making us feel good about ourselves and about the world we live in. Through the Music Program our Banda Bears learn to tackle their tasks creatively and confidently.
