Ballyduff National School is a co-educational primary school with a Catholic ethos, located just a few kilometres from Waterford City. We proudly serve the vibrant communities of Ballyduff and Kilmeaden, offering a warm and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Our school is a  medium-sized rural school with a welcoming atmosphere. At Ballyduff N.S., we strive to create a safe and inclusive learning environment where every child is valued, and individual differences are celebrated. We believe that every student has the potential to thrive, both academically and personally.

In addition to our strong academic program, students at Ballyduff N.S. enjoy a wide variety of extra-curricular activities and we aim to nurture well-rounded individuals who are not only challenged in the classroom but also encouraged to develop their interests and talents outside of it.

Our school is equipped with excellent facilities to enhance the learning experience. These include interactive panels in every classroom, over 30 iPads, a sensory room, a Snoezelen room, three grass pitches, hard-surface yard areas, and a spacious hall with a removable stage. Thanks to our supportive Parents' Council, we are also developing and upgrading our library. 

Recently, Ballyduff N.S. has secured over €200,000 in grant funding for significant upgrades. These include the installation of a new eco-friendly gas heating system, 15 solar panels generating a 6 kW system, a modern fire alarm system, and, of course, the much-anticipated sensory garden.

We deeply value the role of parents as the primary educators of their children and encourage their active involvement in school life. Our strong sense of community, closeness, and pride has been central to our school's identity since its foundation. Parents can also participate in our Parents' Council, playing a key role in school initiatives.
