Our School Crest
Our new school crest was designed by the pupils, for the pupils. It is a statement of our identity, ethos and vision. Pupils from 6th Class drafted many different ideas before a final design was agreed upon. The four core elements of Education, Inclusion, Extra-Curricular and Religion are depicted on the Ballyduff crest.
Education is represented by the open book, maths symbols and pencil.
Inclusion is represented by the open hands holding the world below the inclusion symbol.
Extracurricular Sports, Music and Drama are represented by the hurleys, sliotar, football, musical notation and theatre faces.
Religion is represented by an impression of our local St. Nicholas' Church and the cross.
All of the above are strengthened by our school motto 'Ní Neart go Cur le Chéile' which translates as 'Strength in Unity'.
You can view some of the children's ideas and first drafts below.
