Robin Twarowski: Executive Director
Owner of Ballet Arts, Robin has successfully developed young-dancer ballet programs for Agoura and Thousand Oaks communities. She has danced with Bay Area Ballet, Santa Cruz Ballet and CCBC. Robin is also Executive Director of Conejo Civic Ballet Company. In her executive positions Robin focuses on selection of faculty and staff, and acquiring resources and support for the faculty and CCBC artists so that they can provide our students with the best dance instruction in the Thousand Oaks area.
Helena Jones: Artistic Director / Ballet Teacher
Born in the Czech Republic, after moving to the U.S. Ms. Jones resumed her dance studies at the Ballet Arts School of Dance in Westlake Village, CA. She received scholarships to train at School of American Ballet and Pacific Northwest Ballet School. She joined the Prague National Ballet Theatre and danced many roles. In 1999 she returned to the U.S. to teach and perform at Ballet Arts. Ms. Jones is currently the artistic director of Conejo Civic Ballet Co.
Elizabeth Highway: Assistant Artistic Director / Ballet Teacher
Elizabeth trained at the Westside Ballet in Santa Monica. She received scholarships to study at San Francisco Ballet and Houston Ballet.. She danced professionally with the Milwaukee Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Ballet Indianapolis and the Buffalo City Ballet. Ms. Highway is a certified Pilates instructor and has worked in conjunction with physical therapists designing rehabilitation and dance conditioning programs.
Linda Lewis: Ballet Teacher
Linda Lewis graduated from University of Iowa with a Master in Art majoring in Dance. She taught at the University of Alaska in Fairbanks and was Artistic Director of Dance Domenium. Linda is also an active member of Conejo Civic Ballet Company both as a dancer and behind the scenes helping our young dancers give their best performance.
Lisa Lippman: Ballet Teacher
Lisa Lippman is a graduate of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy in Moscow where she earned a Master of Artist in Ballet and Teaching. She has performed with Festival Ballet in Moscow and City Ballet of Berlin. She continued her dance training in New York taking classes with David Howard and attending classes at Steps. After teaching in the Los Angeles area for a few years she returned to Europe where she taught and danced with City Ballet of Berlin. She is happy to return to the United States and enjoys sharing her love of ballet with the students at Ballet Arts.
Pavel Tabutov: Contemporary Teacher
Pavel Tabutov fell in love with ballet upon his first demi pliƩ and began training at the Academy of Ballet and Arts in Chicago. Later, he received extensive jazz and contemporary training at Gus Giordano Jazz Dance Center and Visceral Dance Center. As a choreographer, Pavel was awarded the Best Choreography Award from Hall of Fame for several of his works. Later, he began to work with the U.S.A. Olympic Rhythmic Gymnastics National team teaching them different styles of dance to advance their choreography and movement skills.
