Your Safety

Here at Ballet Arts, we want to keep all our students safe and healthy. When we are to reopen, we will be taking multiple safety measures in hopes of keeping our dance school as safe as possible. Before classes start for the summer, our staff will be doing a deep cleaning of our studio. Everything in the studio from the moment you walk in will be cleaned. Below are measures the staff will be taking.

Staff - How we are keeping the studio safe

Througout the studio, we will have anti-touch hand sanitizer dispensers.

In class, students will be assigned spots at the barre and in the center so they maintain a proper social distance. Students will remain in these spots for safety.

In-between classes, staff members will clean barres, bathrooms, and floors. When all classes are complete, the last teacher at the studio will clean.

That being said, in order to keep our students and staff safe and healthy, all students and parents must respect and follow the guidelines below.

Student guidelines

DO NOT COME TO THE STUDIO IF YOU ARE FEELING SICK. Any signs of illness will not be tolerated. Even if you are having allergy symptoms, please stay home. Again, we want to keep our students and staff healthy.

When you enter, please take off your street shoes (any shoes you wore before entering the studio) and put them on the shoe rack that is located next to the door.

Please come to the studio prepared to dance. Our dressing room will be closed, and you will not be able to use the bathrooms for changing. Bathrooms will ONLY be opened if you need to use it.

Do not bring any large bags into the studio. You may bring a small pointe shoe bag to keep your shoes and other small supplies in, and the bag must be next to where you are standing at the barre. Again, there will be no dressing room avalible to place your items in.

When entering and exiting the studio, please wear a mask/face covering. Face coverings will not be required when dancing.

Before and During class, we ask that you do not touch the students around you. We understand that it has been a long time, and you are excited to see your friends again, but we must follow all social distance rules to keep our students safe.

Please keep a safe distance (6 feet minimum) between others in the center and at the barre. We will have tape on our floor indicating 6 feet. Please stay within your tape lines during class.

When your class is over, we ask that you do not sit in the studio. There will be no chairs or areas to sit. Please leave the studio directly after your class and make sure your parents are able to pick you up on time.

Parent Guidelines

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD(REN) TO DANCE IF THEY ARE FEELING SICK. Any signs of illness are not tolerated. Even if they are having allergy symptoms, please keep them home. We want to keep the students and staff at our studio safe.

For the sake of our staff and students, we ask that parents do NOT enter the studio.

Please encourage your child(ren) to use the restroom BEFORE they come to the studio. Although bathrooms will be open to our students, we would like to limit the use of them.

Do not sit in our studio. There will be no chairs to sit in. When waiting for your child, we ask you to wait outside.

Please be on time to pick up/ drop off your child(ren). We do not want our students hanging around the studio. When picking up your children, please wait outside for them. Staff members will be directing our younger students to their parents.

We are very excited to see all our students again! Make sure you have signed all paperwork required before sending your child(ren) to dance. (PDFs of paperwork have been sent in an email, nofity Robin if you have not recived it)
