Baker's Percentage
Q: What is baker's percentage?
A: Baker's percentage is a method that uses flour weight as 100% and expresses all other ingredients as a ratio to flour. For example, if you have 500g flour and 325g water, the water is 65% baker's percentage.
Q: Why use baker's percentage?
A: Using baker's percentage allows you to:
Easily scale recipes up or down
Quickly understand recipe characteristics (like hydration)
Communicate with professional bakers using the same terminology
Q: What if I use multiple types of flour?
A: The total of all flours equals 100%. For example, 400g bread flour + 100g cake flour = 500g total flour (100%)
Q: Can baker's percentage total exceed 100%?
A: Yes, this is normal! Baker's percentage shows each ingredient's ratio to flour, so the total typically ranges from 150-200%.
Reverse Calculation
Q: How do I use reverse calculation?
A: Tap the 'Reverse Calc' button on the recipe screen and enter your desired total dough weight. Each ingredient amount will be automatically calculated to maintain ratios.
Q: Can I round the decimal results?
A: Yes, for most cases rounding to one decimal place is sufficient. However, for small amounts like yeast or salt, precise measuring is recommended.
Pan Conversion
Q: How does pan conversion work?
A: It adjusts recipes based on pan volume ratios. If the new pan's volume is 1.5x the original, all ingredients are multiplied by 1.5.
Q: What pan types are supported?
A: We support round, square, and rectangular pans in Korean (호수), Japanese (号), and European (cm) standards. Over 30 presets are available.
Q: Can I add custom pan sizes?
A: Yes, Premium users can create custom pans by entering the shape (round/square/rectangle) and dimensions. Basic users can use over 30 preset pans.
Q: Is pan height included in calculations?
A: Yes, pan volume is calculated as base area × height. So pans with the same diameter but different heights require different amounts.
Multi-Process
Q: What is multi-process?
A: A feature for managing recipes with multiple stages like poolish, levain, or tangzhong. Each process has its own ingredient list and baker's percentages. (Premium feature)
Q: How do I use a previous process as an ingredient?
A: When adding an ingredient to Process 2, select 'Process Reference' to add Process 1's output as an ingredient. The amount is calculated automatically.
Q: I'm getting a "circular reference error"
A: This occurs when Process A references Process B, and Process B references Process A. Processes can only reference earlier stages.
Data Management
Q: Where are recipes stored?
A: All recipes are stored securely on your device. They are not uploaded to any cloud service.
Q: Can I backup my recipes?
A: The current version doesn't include a manual backup feature. Please save important recipes via screenshots or notes.
Q: If I delete the app, are my recipes deleted too?
A: Yes, deleting the app also deletes all saved recipes. Please backup important recipes before uninstalling.
Q: Can I transfer recipes to another device?
A: Cross-device sync is not available in the current version. This feature is planned for a future update.
Troubleshooting
Q: The app crashes unexpectedly
A: Please update to the latest version. If the problem persists, let us know through Contact.
Q: Calculation results seem wrong

A: Try restarting your device or completely closing and reopening the app.
Feature Requests
Q: I want to suggest a new feature
A: Please submit your suggestion through Contact & Feedback. All feedback is carefully reviewed.
