Jr. High/High School Teacher
I am born and raised in Louisiana and live in Vicksburg with my husband Phillip, and our 4 kids; Keegan, Allie, Callum and Graham, and one adorable godlen doodle, Thor. I come from a family of educators, so it was easy for teaching to become my passion. My academic accolades are: Bachelors of Arts from Mississippi College in 2006, Masters of English from Mississippi College in 2008, Masters of Education from Delta State University in 2021, and I am currently finishing my specialist degree. With 10 years of classroom experience, I am also endorsed in 3-6 grades, English K-12, Spanish K-12 and Algebra.
"At the heart of my teaching is the belief that every child can learn when they feel seen, heard, and valued. I strive to create a classroom where curiosity thrives, mistakes are welcomed, and growth is constant. Learing is not just about content- it's about connection." - Samantha Bailey
Elementary Teacher
I've been teaching for 8 years, after spending years as a substitute teacher. Alongside education, I'm also a children's pastor and a women's pastor, passionate about helping people see their worth and discover their gifts. I've even written a book! I love encouraging others to grow and embrace who they are. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing, and spending time with my husband, Wynn, our two adult kids, and our son-in-law.
"I believe that every student has value and unique gifts that deserve to be recognized and nurtured. My goal as an educator is to inspire students to see their own potential, to encourage them to strive for their best, and to foster a learning environment where they feel seen, valued, and empowered. I am committed to teching the whole child- academically, socially, and emotionally- so that they grow not just in knowledge but in confidence and character." - Jennifer Wennekamp
