(under)representation in mathematics
There are several associations and events addressing issues of gender imbalance in mathematics: one of which is a 11-day mentoring program for undergraduate and graduate women and nonbinary in mathematics hosted by the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS), together with Princeton University with the support of the NSF called Women and Math (WAM) Program.
Some other useful resources working towards bettering the diversity, equity, and inclusion issue in mathematics:
Association for Women in Mathematics : Does your university have an AWM student chapter?
National Association of Mathematicians: A non-profit professional organization in the mathematical sciences with the mission and purpose of promoting excellence in mathematical sciences and the mathematical development of all underrepresented minorities.
The EDGE Program: A Program for Woman in Mathematics aiming to strengthen the ability of women students to successfully complete PhD programs in the mathematical sciences and place more women in visible leadership roles in the mathematics community.
Math Alliance Network: The National Alliance for Doctoral Studies in the Mathematical Sciences (“Math Alliance”) is a community of math faculty mentors (and their mentees) providing mentorship in graduate school applications or throughout graduate school by pairing students with mentors throughout the country.
SACNAS – Society for Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science
Modern Mathematics Workshop: This two-day workshop takes place in conjunction with the national meeting of SACNAS and showcases the contemporary research happening at NSF-funded mathematical sciences institutes around the country.
Graduate Research Opportunities for Women (GROW): A conference for women-identified students interested in graduate school in the mathematical sciences.
Roots of Unity Workshop: A week-long workshop is designed to support women, particularly women of color, who have completed 1–3 years of graduate school and are considering research in algebra, combinatorics, geometry, topology, or number theory.
USTARS: The Annual Underrepresented Students in Topology and Algebra Research Symposium
NCUWM: Annual Nebraska Conference for Undergraduate Women in Mathematics
Women in Math Project: This website directs you to many useful resources such as grants, scholarships, events, and programs.
