Over the past decade, the Babel Initiative has undertaken a diverse range of projects spanning the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and beyond. Beginning with our inaugural project in Turkey, our work has extended to countries such as Egypt, Bahrain, Kuwait, and Qatar, each contributing distinct historical and cultural perspectives that have enriched our research. As our scope has expanded, we have engaged with nations including Iran, Lebanon, Jordan, Greece, Tunisia, France and Spain, addressing both contemporary challenges and the preservation of cultural heritage.
Most recently, our initiatives have extended to Morocco and Cyprus, reflecting our ongoing commitment to examining regional issues through a multidisciplinary lens. Each project is characterized by rigorous research inquiry and a dedication to fostering dialogue on the complex socio-political, cultural, and historical dynamics of the region on which our campus focuses
