Declaration of Principles

Babel is a responsible student association. Conscious of its objectives, capacities and convictions, the Babel Initiative has formulated general guidelines in which are inscribed its projects and actions. This guideline consists of the principles essential to the functioning of our organization.

1. Babel Initiative is an association of the Middle Eastern and Mediterranean campus. It thus works to the service of students from the campus who constitute the base and objective of its action.
   
   

2. Cultural exchange is one of our main objectives. As such, we are determined to contribute to this mission.
   
   

3. Transparency is one of our organization’s priorities. The resources, the budget and financing will be available to the public.
   
   

4. The democratization of different stages of the project development process is intrinsic to Babel principles. Students will collaborate in determining the theme/country of the year and the selected research applicants.
   
   

5. The intellectual honesty is essential to our institution, for the association cares about the originality and the authenticity of the research it supports.
   
   

6. The activity of the association is non-political and not lucrative.
   
   

7. The Babel Initiative is a citizen association embedded in its urban environment. The colloquium at the end of the year aims to offer residents of the greater region with a general cultural event.
