Acupressure

Shiatsu is a powerful form of energy-based bodywork. Shiatsu can effectively treat a range of musculo-skeletal and stress-related problems, can maintain good health and also help prevent many types of health problems from arising. With its roots in Japan, and in Traditional Chinese medicine, Shiatsu uses relaxed body weight, applied principally with the hands, to stimulate the body’s own self-healing. In addition to treating a wide range of specific health issues, it is deeply relaxing and can enhance one’s overall health and sense of well-being. Exciting developments in modern science are increasingly able to show how this kind of energy medicine works.

It is practised fully clothed, lying on a futon mat on the floor. Either on your belly, either on your back, the position can be discussed according to your body capacity.

Getting trained

Shiatsu is a 3 years training. I am now an "advanced student" in my Year 2 at Shiatsu College, one of the most well-respected Shiatsu schools in the UK, which has a branch in the town I am living in, Hastings.

Part of the training process is to practice. 50 sessions a year + a few study cases.

I am so offering sessions to people who are interested in receiving well-being from my learning but capable hands.

£20 a session (or give what you can!) +£10 @Azur (to hire the room).
