I define short-term goals as the goals that I would like to achieve in my teaching during each semester. My short term goals related to teaching are:
To prepare all notes, assignments questions before hand.
To have my own policy which is to provide feedback to students regarding their marks of quizzes, assignments and test within 2 weeks upon submission.
To practice and align teaching and assessing students with Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC) requirements.
The following is my on-going goals related to teaching development:
To fully utilize the online course management system, which is ULearn.
To encourage interactive teaching and learning through ULearn.
To continue upgrading my e-learning materials.
To revise and update the course notes and assignments every semester.
To update the teaching portfolio annually to re-evaluate my teaching philosophy.
To execute a 10-minutes mid-semester evaluation in each to monitor and evaluate teaching effectiveness.
To continue upgrading teaching methodology for optimal learning outcomes.
To stay updated in my discipline by relevant reading journals, attending conferences to integrate relevant issues into the classroom.
The following are my long term goals related to teaching and my professional development:
To strengthen the proficiency in my research forte to build up level of confidence in teaching.
To teach will full adaptability by considering the different abilities, motivation and skills among students.
