Associate Professor Doctor Aykan Candemir graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Vocational School Department of Tourism and Hotel Management in 1992 and from the Faculty of Business Administration (Business Administration in English) of the same university in 1996. Dr. Candemir received the title of Doctor of Business Administration in 2005 and the became Associate Professor in Marketing in 2012.

Since 1997, he has been working as a faculty member at Ege University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Business Administration, Production Management -Marketing Department. Dr. Aykan Candemir served as Deputy Director of Ege University Institute of Social Sciences and Vice Dean of Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Assoc. Dr. Aykan Candemir has participated in many national and international congresses with his presentation of papers and published chapters in academic boks during his academic life. In addition to his articles published in various refereed journals, Assoc. Dr. Aykan Candemir is also currently a member of KOSGEB's (Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization of Turkey) "Foreign Market Support Program" Evaluation Board. He speaks fluent English German and Greek at basic level.
