Three hours after our arrival in Urdaneta, the welcome party was held. It was held at the Pan Pacific University main campus in the 4th floor conference room. The purpose of this event was to welcome us to the Philippines. In this event, we were treated to one of the traditional Filipino foods called Tupig. Tupig is made of glutinous rice and brown sugar, which makes it a delicious food with a mixture of both savory and sweet flavors. The event was attended by staff members and faculty members whom I am not able to mention one by one. In this event, we felt very warmly welcomed. We were very honored to receive everything. In this event, the staff and faculty also introduced us a little bit about the culture and tourism of the city of Urdaneta. The warmth of their welcome touched us deeply. Thank you very much for the warm welcome, we will always remember it.
Not only that, after the welcome party was over, we were invited to take a tour to see all the rooms in the campus. To be honest, I didn't really remember all the rooms that were shown because there were so many, except for one room, which was the simulation room for the maritime department. They are very sophisticated and very cool. Even the temperature of the room is adjusted according to the weather conditions that are in the simulation program. Another room that impressed me was the smart room. In this room, the screen projector is a touch screen, which, in my opinion, is very sophisticated and is an effective tool for learning. There is more !! They have an incredible open room for SDG talks! It's decorated with the goals in the SDG and its participating countries, which really brings the room alive!Â
