Hello! My name is Aydan, but I usually go by "b." or Cambria. Outside of school, you can usually find me doing something creative. I really enjoy makeup, painting, crafting, cooking, photography, singing, writing, etc. I am an avid reader, and a huge music and media fan as well! I love all things oddities, dark and macabre.
I was born and raised in Utah, though I spent a lot of my childhood in my second home, Colorado. I come from a large blended family and have 10 siblings! I am technically somewhere in the middle, but consider myself the eldest daughter. (Story for another day.)
I have been with my fiancé for 7 years! We have a dog, two cats, and an axolotl! We are both working toward our Bachelors Degree's, and it has been a lot of work, but we have learned so much. Together, we enjoy traveling, gaming, shopping, and film.
I have changed my path a lot. I was originally "beauty focused" and attended schooling for both nails and hair. I even completed a microblading course, and did eyebrows for about a year before deciding it wasn't the fit for me. Though, working many customer facing jobs has taught me a lot of soft skills. One of these jobs was with Sorenson, through Caption Call! I am a good listener and while I tend to be quiet and reserved, don't be fooled, I am also direct! Quick and clear communication is a priority for me. I feel that my life experiences and neurodivergence have made me easily adaptable and I often enjoy change. I find that change is a nice blend of a new challenge to conquer and a fresh start!
I care deeply for those around me and am always looking for a sense of community, which has been a driving force for me through the interpreting program. I admire the community oriented aspect of Deaf culture, and can't wait to see what else I learn along the way!
My long term goal is to get my NIC with a focus on interpreting in mental health, women's health, and educational settings!
