I am pictured above (#33) leading Luther College's fight song after winning our first game with our new head coach.
I am a persistent and committed person who approaches every endeavor with passion. I strive to be kind to everyone and someone others can turn to when they are struggling. My goal is to bring positive energy to every room I enter while carrying myself with maturity.
I am a natural leader who is always looking for more effective ways to lead and follow. I have learned this very important trait in the work force, as a college athlete, and largely by minoring in Applied Leadership Studies. I rarely lose my composure in high-pressure environments and have a very calm demeanor. This resilience comes from my football background, where I trained myself to thrive under pressure. I embrace adversity, knowing it will only help me grow, and I believe everything happens for a reason.
I also welcome constructive criticism, viewing it as an opportunity to improve. When someone points out an area for growth, I take that feedback seriously and work to apply it in my life. The best way to summarize how I view growth is in the title of a book by John C. Maxwell, "Sometimes you win, sometimes you learn."Â
