Nags Head and the Outer Banks have been a special place for us for over 25 years. Since our first trip to the Outer Banks, we dreamed of owning a home here to enjoy and share with others. Welcome to our home away from home, and thank you for choosing it as your place to stay. We have done our best to provide you with a comfortable, convenient, and functional experience. We ask only for two things in return; please let us know if there is anything we can do to make your stay better, and please, be kind always, no matter.
Be kind to our home
We frequently reside here during the off-season. Maintenance costs in this area are considerably higher than most due to the harsh ocean conditions. Please be gentle on our home and if you see anything concerning or in disrepair, please let our property manager know so we can address it before the problem grows.
Be kind to our neighborsWe chose this property largely because of the quiet, family-oriented neighborhood situated away the noise of traffic, crowds, and commercial businesses. Most of our neighbors are year-round residents with whom we have become friends, and many are retirees who enjoy a peaceful, quiet atmosphere. Please be conscious and respectful of our neighbors during your stay, and while you're coming and going.
Be kind to the environmentThe Outer Banks is a unique and special place that faces significant environmental challenges. Please help us preserve this beautiful natural resource by recycling, picking up your trash, reducing waste when possible, and conserving resources like water and energy. Please leave no trace on our beaches and waterways.
Be kind to our communityOver the years we've met some of our favorite people in the Outer Banks. Our children have attended school here. We've made and shared decades of memories here and we've enjoyed meeting locals and learning about the area's rich history. Locals work hard and face a high cost of living. The last few years have brought more vacationers and home buyers into the community, so what used to be just a "busy Summer" has turned into more traffic and business year round. We strive to go out of our way to be kind to locals especially when encountering conflicts, wait times, and tipping opportunities, so that we may all enjoy this beautiful place together.
And above all...Be kind to yourself, and one another.
