"It began with a restlessness, but I did not know what it meant or what "they" wanted of me. There was an ominous atmosphere all around me. I had the strange feeling that the air was filled with ghostly entities. Then it was as if my house began to be haunted...." -Septem Sermones ad MortuosSelf Portrait is a thematic narration of an artist looking to
represent evolution of an idea that look to make a metaphorical “self
portrait”. Its a representation of his thoughts that occur while doing
so. Inspired by Jungian concepts, its a solo theatre act with a film pro-
jection on a canvas while a the drawing occurs. It showcases the extent
of these ideas with an ironic undertone. It exploits various themes that
make a usually represent the subconsciousness to reflect self-inquir y.
The art work consists of a film, drawings, sound and a costume that
was designed with themes of this concept.
