How Site Teams Leverage Collective Educator Agency to Achieve Student Outcomes

What materials should I use?

The Summer Learning materials are designed to be facilitated by principals with the support of the Site Coordinator. Materials are designed to provide the opportunity for differentiation based on site needs and where each site is in the goal-setting process. Sites should first engage in relevant Common Content Mini-Modules before selecting the most appropriate Choose Your Own Adventure goal-setting module.

Common Content Mini-Modules: To engage in this learning, download the Site Team Experience Guide and Note-Taking Graphic Organizer and review the descriptions of each mini-module (also shown below). Select the most appropriate module(s) for your Site Team to engage with based on site needs and experience.

Access the mini-modules using the Common Content Mini-Modules image or the link above.

New Site Teams should start with Why of the Site Team, and then continue through the mini-modules.

Experienced Site Teams may choose where to start in the Common Content Mini-Modules. Site Teams that attended Summer Institute in 2023 may have already experienced this content. However, if participants are all new to the Site Team, the principal or Site Coordinator may want to dedicate time to working through the content prior to the Site Team goal work. Sites may also decide to start with the Self-Assessment: Taking Ownership of Your Path mini-module to help launch them into the appropriate goal-setting path.

The materials in this section empower sites to take ownership of their goal-setting process regardless of their entry points (Creating a New Goal, Refining an Existing Goal, or Ensuring  Sustainability of an Achieved Goal). Use the results of your self-assessment to determine where to start.

Use this path to determine an area of focus for a new goal.

Use this path to evaluate progress on an existing goal.

Use this path to determine how to broaden and/or deepen the achieved impact and ensure sustainability.
