Railway Air Services (RAS) was established in March 1934 by the railway companies GWR, LMS, LNER and SR and Imperial Airways, to operate routes linking up with Imperial's services within the UK.
August 1946: UK government forms British European Airways Corporation (BEA), and gets a monopoly of scheduled air services within the UK and to continental Europe.
01/08/1946: RAS operates all its services on behalf of BEA
31/01/1947: Operation are ceased and BEA retains the RAS aircraft, staff and routes.
