OREGON SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION - OREGON, ILLINOIS
16U Roster
Tessa plays first base, third base, pitcher, and left field, but feels most at home in the circle and at third. She has been playing softball since she was five and brings steady effort and excitement every time she shows up. Tessa wears number 2 because she was born on June 2nd, which fits her perfectly. She feeds off positive energy and believes a simple “I believe in you” can go a long way. She is a quiet leader of the team. When not playing softball you can find her helping on her family farm, participating in 4-H, and playing basketball and volleyball.
Ayden is a true utility player, covering first base, third base, shortstop, and all three outfield positions, with center field and shortstop being her strongest spots. With eleven years of softball experience, she brings a steady work ethic and loves lifting and running to stay game ready. Ayden wears number 4 or 14 as lucky numbers and lives by the belief that hard work always wins when talent doesn’t put in the effort. She brings positive energy, believes in herself, and works hard to lift teammates up when confidence dips. Ayden looks up to Bri Ellis for her patience and power at the plate. She dreams of traveling somewhere unexpected, like Antarctica.
Kimber plays second base, catcher, and anywhere in the outfield, bringing energy and versatility wherever she’s needed. This is her fourth year of softball, and it’s clear the game means a lot to her. She proudly wears number 7 in honor of her stepdad, who is her biggest inspiration and the person she looks up to most. Kimber believes deeply in the idea that you don’t need to prove yourself to anyone who doesn’t appreciate you, and that confidence shows in how she carries herself. Loud, proud, and full of personality, Kimber dreams of a private island getaway with her best friends, good food, softball, and nonstop fun.
Abi plays first base, pitcher, and all over the outfield, but feels most confident at first and pitching. She has been playing softball since tee ball and brings the same competitive energy she shows in basketball and other sports she plays. Abi wears number 10 because it’s always been her number, simple as that. Her motto is “If you love it, do it,” which fits her perfectly because she goes all in on whatever she cares about. She’s obsessed with grilled cheese cheese pulls and Bubblrs. She appreciates teammates and coaches who understand her and back her up, especially on tough days. Abi looks up to Caitlin Clark for her work ethic and fire. She dreams of visiting every beach in Australia, preferably with unlimited food and Shawn Mendes along for the ride.
Mak plays second base, third base, and the outfield, where she feels most confident in left and right field but is always ready wherever she’s needed. She first played softball from ages five to eleven, stepped away, and then came back at thirteen with a stronger mindset and clear goals. Mak wears number 13 for extra luck. Her motto is simple: if you want it, you have to work for it, and that belief pushes her to chase big dreams even after a rough game or confidence dip. Mak looks up to Caitlin Clark for blocking out the noise. She may be shy at first, but once she’s comfortable, she’s all in. Mak can also be found hustling up and down the court for basketball.
Grace is a strong corner infielder who brings focus and intensity to first and third base. She also likes to catch all the flies in outfield. With four years of softball experience, she prides herself on locking in and competing hard every time she steps on the field. Grace chose jersey number 16 to carry on a family tradition, as all of her brothers wore 16 in every sport, and she’s proud to keep it going. Off the field, she’s involved in FCA, Key Club, student council, and choir, proving she brings the same commitment everywhere she goes. Some of Grace's favorites are fried chicken, gummies, and a fired up mindset. She lives by a simple rule: don't judge people because you don't know what they're going through.
Lyndee brings a big personality and even bigger energy to the field, playing third base, catcher, shortstop, and center field, with shortstop and catcher being her favorite spots. With "six or seven" years of softball experience, she plays the game the same way she approaches life: loud, energetic, and all in. She wears number 23 because she looks up to Michael Jordan for his work ethic and love for the game. Lyndee thrives on hype, good music, and encouragement, and her energy is contagious. Off the field, she also loves basketball and golf, and you can often find her performing on stage in school plays or musicals, or singing with the choir.
Mac is a versatile player with experience at every infield and outfield position, with second base and shortstop being her strongest spots. She has been playing softball since she was seven and brings a more steady presence to the field. Mac wears number 44 simply because she has always liked numbers with a 4 and it stuck. She values clear, direct coaching and prefers being told exactly what needs to be fixed rather than letting things go unaddressed. Her favorite hype up quote is, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do,” and she also looks up to Michael Jordan’s reminder that “talent wins games, but teamwork and intelligence win championships.” Mac could easily see herself setting off on a trip to the Maldives to explore some sun, fun, and beach time.
Liz plays first base and all over the outfield, bringing versatility and confidence wherever she’s placed, even if first base is still a work in progress. With around five years of softball experience, Liz balances the game with choir, theater, and work. Theater is where she feels most at home off the field. She wears jersey number 52 because it's her family's lucky number. Liz believes confidence is everything and looks up to Caitlin Clark for blocking out the noise. Once she warms up, she’s talkative, hilarious, and one day plans a trip of a lifetime to Venice, Italy.
