Autumnhearts is a company founded on the values of kindness, empathy, and compassion. Autumn symbolizes letting go and the kindness and empathy to allow for change, while hearts symbolizes compassion to others and ourselves.
Amanda is the Founder and Director of Autumnhearts, a company that offers talks and workshops on topics related to mental health, relationships, and personal growth. She set up Autumnhearts with the intention to help individuals understand themselves better, develop and grow, and empower themselves to lead a life that they are happy with.
Amanda has an immense passion for working with teenagers. She specializes in adolescent psychology with several years of experience working with secondary schools in Singapore. She has conducted numerous trainings for teens on the topic of mental health, friendship, self-esteem, anxiety and many more. Amanda also has several years of experience working closely with parents whose teenagers are experiencing behavioral and emotional difficulties.
Amanda is a registered psychologist with the Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP). She works in the private sector, offering psychological services such as individual and couples counselling, group therapy, and psychological assessments. Amanda works with clients of all ages on emotional and behavioral problems, including anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and sexuality issues as well as other issues such as burnout, and relationship difficulties. Amanda works closely with the LGBT community.
Amanda holds lecturing positions in local universities. She lectures at
National Institute of Education (NIE),
Nanyang Technological University (NTU), and
James Cook University (JCU),
where she teaches modules on basic and advanced counselling skills, group counselling, mental disorders, and well-being at both the undergraduate and masters level. Amanda is also a registered clinical supervisor with the Singapore Register of Psychologists. She supervises trainee psychologists and counsellors from NIE under the Masters of Applied Psychology, the Masters of Guidance and Counselling program, as well as MOE trainee school counsellors under the Diploma in School Counselling program.
