Are Humans Being Replaced ?
"Automation could force more than 100 million women globally to find new occupations by 2030, according to a study from McKinsey Global Institute."
Today’s outlook can make tomorrow’s prospects look harsh. The world is filled with technology. Innovation is everywhere. I know this may scare as some thoughts that come to mind are:
· Increased automation will cause a loss of jobs
· Issues for unskilled or semi-skilled finding work
· Automation and AI will stifle new job creation
To understand why we fear of technology we need to know what technology is being used.We have always had a hazy exchange with technology. Take in example the Luddite movement in the 18th century, trained textile workers against the using of mechanized looms and knitting frames.
I know that you may be wondering how does partnering with technology help. New tools are always around the corner and help to make life more efficient. How does technology improve efficiency and ensure accuracy ?
From The Internet of Things (IoT) which allows you to connect your device to share information and make decisions on its own to Chatbots which are interactive programs that allow for quick retrieval of information to provide better customer service. Find out how technology has become efficient.
In this section spotlight I'd liked to highlight two Industry leaders who are no strangers to Automation and Artificial Intelligence. Amazon whose company offers Cloud computing, e-commerce, artificial intelligence, consumer electronics, and digital distribution. Also, in the healthcare industry OptumIQ who service 4 out of 5 Fortune 100 employers. Both have used automation to provide a better customer experience. Putting them in the forefront of their industries.
