Ethmostigmus rubripes is Australia's largest species of centipede growing up to 250mm for certain localities. unlike the name, centipedes don't actually have 100 legs but more around 20 pairs or 40 in total.
There are many different locales around Australia which each locale being vastly different from the others with bright colours, banding, size and even behaviour.
SEQ green giant centipedes don't grow too large but make up for it in colour. in most cases, the individual is a deep emerald with an even more vibrant post moult. Their legs are washed out yellow and have feint bands similar to Banded centipedes but less pronounced.
