On September 6th, 2025, APAPA Youth Austin proudly served as one of the leading collaborators for the "Asian Texans for Justice “Rooted and Rising” Empowerment Workshop. Members were mobilized to attend and engage in a day of learning, featuring insightful presentations from speakers at the University of Texas and Texas State University on Asian American history and identity. In partnership with AFSSA, participants also explored ways to exercise political rights within their communities, increase Asian voter participation through ESL citizenship classes and voter registration, and design creative projects that drive collective change. The workshop provided APAPA Youth Austin members a meaningful opportunity to connect, grow, and strengthen their understanding of civic engagement.
