Ms. Salsabeel Shapsough is a Research Associate in the field of Internet of Things and smart solar energy systems where she is responsible for the design and development of solar power monitoring systems and technologies. Based on my experience with her session, she is very engaging and very patient with everyone.
Minetest is a free and open-source sandbox video game developed by a team of volunteers, with significant contributions from the community. It teaches the fundamentals of programming skills, teamwork, problem-solving, project management, and offers a fantastic environment to foster creativity and “out of the box” thinking.
The main goal of this session was to understand and learn about the basis of a physical computer, logic gates, and boolean in Minetest using the mesecons mod. We were also introduced to AND, OR, and NOT gates (applied on Minetest).
Ms. Salsabeel's manner of teaching is so fun and interactive! She paced the class just right so you feel challenged but not too overwhelmed. The number of materials given during the session might've been slightly heavy, but overall it was great. Ms. Salsabeel was able to discuss inputs, outputs, processors, transistors, Boolean Algebra, binary numbers, and much more.
