samson case
This is a Samson 1l Micro Hard Case from Amazon - cost £20 but the only modification is to drill a microphone hole and then waterproof it with something that is acoustically transparent. I've gone for hydrophobic speaker cloth from Akustikstoff - which was 12 Euros for a 40 colour sample pack. My aim is a case that can be deployed in semi-public places that is not easily removable and robust enough for UK summer weather.

Case closed and labeled, you can just see the microphone hole.
To close the case I've added a padlock and to secure it to a "tree" - I've gone for Master Lock Python cable ( I had one lying around! ).
