Margaret (Peg) Dwyer was the first woman to serve as the Vice President of Boston College in 1975. Dwyer served as the Assistant to the President at Boston College, and later the Vice President of the college. In 1997, Dwyer retired after working at the college for twenty three years. Prior to her years in Boston, she worked as a teacher in New York state (Smith).
