Independent Contracts 

Students who will be absent for 3 days or more may request an Independent Study Contract. All Independent Study Contract requests MUST be submitted two weeks before the first date of absence. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Contracts will NOT be offered the first 5 days of school or the last 5 days of the semester.  

To request an Independent Study contract please follow the below steps:

1. Requesting a contract for Independent Study – Job Aid For Parents English / Somali / Spanish / Tagalog / Vietnamese

2. The UCHS Staff will start the process of notifying your teacher

3. You will be contacted by the Attendance Office regarding next steps for the contract. 

4. Please have your child check the online class portal (Google or Canvas) to stay current classroom assignments and information.

5. Please be aware that all parties must agree to the contract (student, parent, teachers and admin).
