Students will have the option of either doing the final project or taking a final exam, both of which will make up 10% of their grade. Everyone will choose which option they'd like via a Google Form starting October 24th, and due October 31st 11:59pm. Failure to complete the Google Form will result -10% of your final grade.
Please continue reading for details on both.
The Final Exam is open-note (with use of graded labs and notes from ATSC 110 and 110L encouraged), but all notes must be physical, and the use of anything on the computer or internet (i.e., this lab site) will not be allowed. Therefore, we recommend keeping and organizing your graded labs every week in case you choose this option.
Final Exam Times:
Monday, December 15th at 1:00pm in Clifford Hall 210
Thursday, December 18th at 5:30pm in Columbia Hall 1350
Note: these are the only times to take the final exam. No early or late takes will be allowed. Therefore, if you are not available for either, we recommend opting for the final project instead.
The objective is to revamp or design a new lab experiment.
You will create a lab report like the ones conducted this semester & run through it in class.
The lab reports are due November 30th, with the run throughs taking place the weeks of December 1st and December 8th.
There will be a maximum of 3 experiments per lab section, so depending on the number of participants it may be an individual or a group project.
Each group will receive 35 minutes to setup, introduce, and conduct their experiment.
