Prospective Graduate Students

The E-FAR lab is not currently accepting graduate students. You may check back on future dates if interested in food access, food security, food systems, and health disparities research.

Prospective Undergraduate Students

Gaining research experience is a valuable asset to students wishing to pursue graduate careers in public health and nutrition. Undergraduate students are encouraged to begin by helping to collect, code, and analyze data. Interested students may progress to conduct an independent study or honors thesis, attend, and present at academic conferences.

At the E-FAR lab, Dr. Atoloye will offer the opportunity to mentor undergraduate students who work in the lab and help with information on preparing their graduate applications or other career choices.

Given the time needed to invest in training research assistants, we ask students to commit to 6-9 hours per week for a full academic year.

To apply to become an undergraduate research assistant in E-FAR lab:

First, visit the Office of Research's website to learn about USU's undergraduate research program and the "getting started" page on how to initiate your application. Second, fill out this form after you are matched with the lab. Please send the completed form to Dr. Atoloye via email to schedule an appointment.

Prospective Postdoctoral Scholars

We do not currently have funding for postdoctoral scholars. However, if you are a postdoctoral scholar that has secured funding and are interested in joining the E-FAR Lab, please email Dr. Atoloye to discuss possible research opportunities.
